Guest Speaker: Robert “Chief” Parrish
Originally from the beautiful state of Arkansas and then a brief stint in Missouri, Chief and his family have lived in Texas since 2007. Chief’s wife Kristen teaches piano and leads worship at Oakwood Baptist Church here in New Braunfels all while trying to wrangle their 4 kids. From oldest to youngest – Hallie, Macey Jo, Benjamin (a.k.a. Booski) and Samuel (a.k.a. Nugs), and a sweet and extremely loyal dog named Lucy. The Parrishes had the privilege of being foster parents and Chief now serves on the board of directors for 1 Hope for Kids in San Antonio and is also the board president for The Family Coalition in New Braunfels. Since 2002, Chief has served in vocational ministry in two para-church ministries (K-Life and T Bar M) and also as the family pastor at Oakwood. Currently, he serves as the Senior Director of Camps at T Bar M.
Worship Leaders: Chris and Brianna Vaughan
Chris and Brianna Vaughan live in San Antonio with their four children. Since 2013, Chris has served as the Worship Director at Oak Hills Church and Brianna has led worship there also. Their family loves to laugh, travel together and seek to know Jesus more personally as they walk daily together through life. With small children and a busy ministry schedule, they know full well how deeply rest and time away from the world to connect with family and God are. Their heart and prayer for the weekend is that the families not only feel a deep sense of rest, but a deeper connection with your Creator through an atmosphere of worship.
