Hurricane Harvey…Where Do We Even Start?

?>

“God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.” This is a mantra we live by at camp…because scripture tells us it’s true, and we’ve experienced its validity time and time again. How can we possibly wrap our minds around this truth when faced with the devastation Harvey has brought?

This is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Here are three links to great responses we can have regarding Harvey…

  • Let’s not diminish the power of praying…aligning our perspective with the Creator, and sustainer of life. To our T Bar M families affected by this disaster, you are in our prayers. Prayer for Houston
  • Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joseph, David, Job, Christ, the disciples, Paul…several we learn so much from in God’s Word were all too familiar with suffering. God is about redemption.  “We Hear You. We Feel You. Believe Me”
  • God is not out to get His people.  His ways are higher than ours…His thoughts higher than ours.  Sometimes we simply have to trust the character of God when we can’t understand His ways. “Why God Allowed Hurricane Harvey: 4 Wrong Answers”

God is good all the time, and all the time God is good.

Love,

Your T Bar M Family
