College Students Coach application

College students, or those who have been out of High School for at least a year, may be placed at any of the following locations. At each camp, our goal is to grow campers according to Luke 2:52: in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and man.

We have over 50 different Universities represented in our Coaching staff and we continue looking for new schools to add every year. We are serious about finding the best college kids in the nation.

What is a Coach?

Coaches are the heart and soul of what happens at camp. A Coach builds relationships with campers, leading them in games, activities, and Bible Studies. Most importantly, a coach models what it looks like to follow Jesus Christ.

Specialty Positions

We hire a number of specialty positions. Depending on what camp you will work for, these positions could be your main job, or will be included as part of your responsibilities as a Coach. Either way, we would like to know if you have experience or interest in growing your skills in any of these areas.

Camp Counselor

(we call them Coaches)

See description above. Coaches are the heartbeat and heroes of camp, on the front-lines of campers’ experiences, and account for 90% of the staff we hire at camp.

Media Team

The media team is the family’s lens into what God is doing at camp. If you love to take pictures or enjoy making videos, desire to gain real, on-the-job experience, and want to develop your skills, this might be the summer job for you.

Healthcare

Going into the medical field? As a nurse assistant, you will work in the office with our nurse, to help care for children, prepare meds, and other related tasks.

Boat Driver

Enjoy being out on the water? At our camp on Lake Travis, we need responsible staff to ensure the safety of campers on the lake at all times, who drive and instruct on boats, jet-skis, and other lake activities.

Ropes Course Instructor

Ropes course instructors are trained to teach on our ropes courses – not only operating the elements, but encouraging campers as they take on new challenges. You must pass a written and skills test before facilitating any element on the course.

Certified Lifeguard

Whether in one of our massive pools or on Lake Travis at Camp Travis, water safety and fun are equally important to us. Life guards are on duty whenever campers are in the pool or lake, and all water safety staff are certified in First Aid, CPR and Life-guarding through American Red Cross.

Worship Leader

We look for talented musicians who love serving God through music. Worship leaders at camp lead staff and campers in praise and worship and fun camp songs.

Skilled Sports Instructor

At Sports Camp, coaches are placed in charge of a “sports specialty,” where campers are taught basic skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, encouragement, etc. And in any sport or activity, our main responsibility is to represent Christ and teach His ways!

Kitchen Crew

At both of our Overnight Camps, we look for staff who know how to run a kitchen and/or love making food. Responsibilities include providing 3 meals a day along side a kitchen staff.

want to be a camp nurse?

It’s one week of being the medical hands and feet of Jesus to kids and staff! You will be plugged in relationally, have an assistant to help you with daily tasks, and watch camp in action. Applicants must pass a background check and hold one of the following certifications: RN, LVN, MD, PA, EMT or Paramedic.

  • 1 week commitment
