Hey, first time camp family!
Here are a few things that we want you to know so you can feel more prepared as you get ready for camp!

Where You'll Be Staying
During your week at family camp, you’ll be staying in one of our lodges on property. Lodge rooms are hotel-style suites with individual bathrooms attached. This while be your home away from home while you’re here. Check it out!
Theme Night Costumes
Get your creative brain going! Each year we have different Theme Nights, and we love seeing how families come dressed up. There are some Theme Nights that stay the same and some that change every year.
Be sure to check your packing list for tips on how pack best for your Theme Nights. Packing lists are released each year on March 1st.
Families are not required to dress up according to the theme, but many do! While some families love to go all out with their theme night costumes (and we love to see them!), costumes don’t need to be elaborate. You can make a theme night costume out of things you already own.
Opening Day
The excitement of camp starts even before you get here! Opening Day is for parents and kids alike. The whole family can get FUAGNEM (fired up and going nuts every minute) for camp with car paint, costumes, and silly string!
Family Camp Speakers & Directors
Our Family Camp Directors are here to answer any questions you may have before camp! You will get to know Chris Ogren, our Family Camp Director, and Rylee Anderson, our Family Camp Women’s Director, during your week at camp. They are always around to keep things running smoothly and, of course, join in on the FUN!
You will also have a dedicated speaker for your week of camp who will lead parents through teaching time and will join in for other camp activities with their family. Click here to learn more about the speaker for your week of camp.
What is a Coach?
Here at T Bar M, we call all our summer staff “coaches.” These college summer staffers are here to invest in your family and be an extra pair of hands for parents! You’ll have a coach just for YOUR FAMILY all week long! These coaches quickly become a part of your family. Instantly your kids have a cool, responsible older sibling they can look up to. Coaches are one of THE TOP things our families rave about!
If you have any other questions about preparing for camp, feel free to give our registrars, Gaye and Stacy, a call at 830-620-4263. They would love to answer your questions or connect you with another member of our team who can.
Let the countdown to summer begin!
